We publish this information in good faith and take care to keep it accurate. It is general information about the organisation and its work — it is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for contacting the emergency services.
Documents on the Downloads page are the authoritative versions. Where a copy circulating elsewhere differs from what is published here, the version here prevails.
3. Emergencies
This website is not an emergency service. Forms and email are not monitored continuously. In an emergency call the Nigeria Police Force on 112.
4. Reports and submissions
When you submit an incident report or an enquiry you confirm that the information is true to the best of your knowledge. Knowingly making a false report wastes the time of the Group and of the police, and may itself be an offence.
Submitting a report does not create any duty of care towards you, nor any guarantee of a particular response, outcome or timescale.
5. Membership applications
Submitting an expression of interest is not an application for employment and does not create any entitlement to membership. Membership is granted only after screening, training and registration, at the discretion of the relevant command.
6. Our name, emblem and materials
The name, emblem and published materials of Vigilante Group of Nigeria may not be used by any person or body to imply membership, endorsement or authority they do not hold. Reproducing our emblem on identification, uniforms, vehicles or documents without authority is impersonation and will be reported to the police.
You may quote or link to material on this site for news reporting, education or community safety purposes, with attribution.
7. Links to other sites
Where we link to another website we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.
